Terms of use

Last updated: October 12, 2026

These terms set the rules for using Wayfold. The service is provided by Wayfold, contact: [email protected].

The Polish version of this document is binding; the English version is a translation.

The service

Wayfold lets you mark places you have visited and see them on a map, with statistics, awards and more. The core of the app is free. Some features are part of Wayfold Plus.

Wayfold provides the service. The seller of the Plus subscription is Polar (Merchant of Record) for purchases on the web, Apple in the iPhone app and Google in the Android app.

Technical requirements

To use Wayfold you need internet access and either an up-to-date browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge) with JavaScript and cookies turned on, or the Wayfold app for iPhone or Android, as well as an email address or a Google or Apple account.

Your account

You need an account to use Wayfold. Give accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has got into your account. You must be at least 16. You can delete your account at any time from the app.

Starting and ending the contract

You enter into the contract for the free plan when you create an account. It runs for an indefinite period. You can end it at any time by deleting your account in the app.

Plus is a monthly or yearly subscription that renews automatically for another period of the same length. You can cancel it at any time; you keep Plus until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting your account ends a Plus subscription bought on the web at once, with no automatic refund (you can get one under the rules below). Cancel a subscription from the App Store or Google Play in the store.

We may end the contract if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms (see using Wayfold fairly): first we ask you by email to stop, then we end the contract with 14 days' notice. Without notice only when the breach threatens the security of the service or of other users. If we end the contract for any reason other than your breach, we refund the unused part of your Plus payment.

Wayfold Plus

Plus costs $2.99 a month or $19.99 a year. In the EU the price includes VAT; elsewhere local sales tax may be added at checkout. On the web you can also pay in euros (€2.99 a month or €19.99 a year) or Polish złoty (11.99 zł a month or 79.99 zł a year), VAT included. In the App Store and Google Play the price is the one the store shows, in your currency, including taxes. The yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial; if you do not cancel before it ends, the yearly price is charged.

The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. For store purchases, you cancel in your store's subscription settings, and payment, renewals, refunds and cancellation are handled by the store under its rules. For purchases on the web, payment and renewals are handled by Polar, and you cancel under Manage subscription in Settings.

Apart from the right of withdrawal, we refund the whole first payment for a purchase on the web if you write to [email protected] within 14 days of that payment. The free trial of the yearly plan can be cancelled at any time before it ends, and then nothing is charged. After that, cancelling stops the next renewal. Refunds for purchases in the App Store or Google Play are handled by the store. How to ask, and the same rules in short, are on the support page.

If Plus ends, you keep and can still see and export everything you created. You can no longer add new Plus content, such as flights or trips beyond the free limit, until you subscribe again.

Your data

What you create is yours. You can export it at any time and delete your account from the app. How we handle it is described in the privacy policy.

Using Wayfold fairly

Do not try to break or overload the service, to reach other people's data, or to use it to break the law. We may suspend an account that does.

Availability

We work to keep Wayfold available and accurate. Place names, flight routes and statistics may contain mistakes, and the service may sometimes be unavailable. Nothing here limits the rights you have as a consumer.

Place data comes from GeoNames (CC BY 4.0), country and region shapes from Natural Earth, and airports from OurAirports.

Complaints

Send a complaint about the service to [email protected]. Describe the problem and give the email address of your account. We answer within 14 days; if we do not answer in that time, the complaint counts as accepted. Complaints about payments in the App Store and Google Play are handled by the store.

Conformity of the service with the contract

We are responsible for the digital service conforming to the contract under chapter 5b of the Polish Consumer Rights Act (art. 43h and following). If the service does not conform, you can ask us to bring it into conformity and, if that is impossible or fails, ask for a price reduction or withdraw from the contract.

A sole trader has the same rights when the contract is directly connected with their business but is not of a professional nature for them.

Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer (or a sole trader with consumer rights, as above), you can withdraw from a contract made on the web within 14 days of entering into it, without giving a reason. For the yearly plan with a free trial, the contract is entered into on the day the trial starts. It is enough to send a statement to [email protected] before the deadline; you may use the model withdrawal form, but you do not have to. For a purchase on the web we accept the statement and arrange the refund on behalf of the seller, Polar.

We refund every payment within 14 days of receiving the statement, by the same payment method, through Polar.

Purchases in the App Store and Google Play follow those stores' refund rules.

Model withdrawal form

Out-of-court dispute resolution

More information: prawakonsumenta.uokik.gov.pl.

Law and changes

These terms are governed by Polish law, without limiting the consumer protections of the country where you live. We may update them; if a change matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it applies.
